induction, epidural, tears and having trouble moving at all
only position wanting to use is side lying position
had breast reduction surgery 8 years ago
breast are still enormous
breasts grew during the pregnancy
mom wants to exclusively breastfeed but has not been able to and didn't get a good latch or any help nursing so doesn't think there is any milk – been supplementing formula
expressed some milk
(milk came from below the nipple – just curious if this is normal for having a breast reduction)
right breast was a little tender/painful to her when I touched it on the side
Baby was very hungry so I gave formula and showed how to pace feed
once she was more relaxed I attempted to latch baby so mom could see it is possible and got a successful latch (I sprinkled some materna on the nipple)
But I went over pumps and a pumping plan and told her to call a lactation consultant to help her get set up
told her to pump every 2-3 hours and feed baby formula . if she has pumped milk to give that first and then supplement with formula
gave them very specific instructions on how to make sure baby is gaining weight, went over breastfeeding management
told them to focus on feeding the baby, then building the milk supply and then when they are ready for the next step, when meeting with the lactation consultant then they can help return baby to the breast
mom was truly happy

מעולה. נשמע ממש טוב.
אחת הבעיןת בהקטנת שד זה שלא תמיד יש חיבור בין השד לפטמה…. אז יש אזורים שלא יכולים להתרוקן…. זה ממש עצוב.
בפעם הבאה תבקשי מהאימא לשים לב שהשד מתרוקן טוב ובכל חלקיו
