had help bringing on labor, then epidural at the hospital
not quite sure how nursing is going for her – she has colostrum bu baby wont take and wont suck. even when I tried on my finger he wouldn't suck. No issues on tongue or lips. We hand expressed onto a spoon and fed him which woke him up and then tried nursing from the breast but still wasn't interested. Main thing is to feed him and then maintain supply so she expresses and feeds him in order to do both. We discussed option for finger feeding but she wanted to stick with the spoon for now. She felt more comfortable when I was there to help her. She knew how to express milk but said I was more effective.
