Hodgkins disease, lymphocytic depletion involving intrapelvic lymph nodes in 2014 but now healthy also had freezing of ovary surgery
she has some pain while nursing. Also had pain with previous baby and had mastitis after a few weeks
she has lots of milk, slightly engorged.
baby is eating well but possibly hard to latch with the engorged breast, lots of gulping. her breasts however are slightly separated and pointy. slight wounds on both nipples from bad latching. mom said baby spit up some blood from the wound on her nipple. Showed a deeper latch and it felt slightly better.
also noticed moms tongue doesn't extend past her teeth so I checked the baby. the tongue isn't tied but it doesn't extend past the teeth either so possible contribution.to the pain.
went over breastfeeding management.
also told her to alleviate some of the milk in her breasts by pumping a little after the feed so its is emptied a bit more
