contractions and 2 epidurals and pushed for 2 hours and lost a lot of blood so mom was hooked up to a blood infusion so she was limited on positions for nursing

baby was extremely sleepy
explained breastfeeding management to her and why baby is so sleepy and told her that she should do lots of skin to skin if possible, that there is a lot of stress on baby from 2 hours of pushing and that she should try and wake baby every 2.5 hours to feed if not waking up on her own. they said the nurses told her not to worry about feeding her baby on day one. So I explained that it is important to feed and to nurse her and not let her sleep all day and that the small amount that she has (which she has because I expressed some) is good for baby.
