has PCOS and was only diagnosed with it in the past two years after she delivered her first. It took her a long time to get pregnant with the first and took letrozol medication to get pregnant with both pregnancies.
Breasts are tubular and separated
mom says that she has pain while nursing and has been nursing every 3 hours.
she brought baby in from nursery and looked extremely yellow so I asked about jaundice she said she just asked the tinokia and they told her he is fine but after she went in and checked with them the levels and at birth was 6.6 then went to 5.8 and now is 9.8 so they told her to make sure to feed the baby a lot and supplement. I had told her if they needed up telling her that he has jaundice to make sure to nurse every 2-2.5 hours maximum and supplement with either expressed milk or formula to get the jaundice out of him. she then said that she now remembers having to do this same thing with her first child with the pumping and supplementing for her PCOS and the jaundice.
I tired to help her latch the baby a bit better than how she did it but she kind of had her own system that worked well for her to make sure the lips flanged out around her tubular breasts better but also showed her how to do that same method but getting a deeper latch. Because when I showed her our method of latching it was more uncomfortable for her..
We went over proper breastfeeding management as well.
